Garage flooring is a durable coating applied over the garage concrete slab, usually epoxy, flake or polyurethane resin, to resist oil, chemicals, hot tyres and the weight of vehicles. Epoxy Flake
The decorative choice Decorative flakes broadcast into the resin, adding grip and hiding tyre marks and dust. The flake layer also adds thickness over the colour coat, which is why flake sits above solid colour on price.
Polyurethane / Polyaspartic
Tough, UV-stable, fast Tougher, UV-stable and fast-curing, best for sunlit or semi-outdoor garages where standard epoxy can yellow. Polyaspartic often lets you park again within 24 hours, against a few days for epoxy.
Garage Floor Paint
Budget DIY, less durable A budget DIY option. Honest note: floor paint is far less durable than a professional resin coating and wears faster under tyres.
Interlocking Garage Tiles
A no-coating alternative Snap-together tiles laid over the slab, liftable and quick to fit, with no curing time. Where Garage Flooring Falls Short
A resin coating bonds to the slab, so its life is the life of that bond. A slab pushing moisture up from below will lift a coating laid on it, which is why a basement garage or a slab with no damp-proof membrane is better served by interlocking tiles. Ask for a moisture reading on the slab before you accept a coating quote. For a forklift or heavy plant floor we fit industrial epoxy instead.

Garage floor coatings are priced by system. Solid-colour epoxy is the entry point at AED 65 to 110/sqm (about AED 6.0 to 10.2/sqft). Epoxy flake runs AED 90 to 150/sqm. Whole-garage guide: as a rough total, a single garage (around 18 to 20 sqm) runs about AED 1,300 to 3,000, and a double garage (around 36 to 40 sqm) about AED 2,500 to 6,000, supplied and fitted, depending on the system and slab condition.

How We Coat Your Garage Floor
Preparation decides how long a garage floor lasts. A garage slab is usually oil-stained and dusty, so it is degreased, diamond ground and crack-repaired before anything is primed. Only then do the resin coats go on, with flake broadcast into the wet resin where that system is chosen, and a protective topcoat over the top. Skip the grinding and the coating lifts.

A garage floor is judged by what it survives. EN ISO 2812 is the European test series for the resistance of paints and coatings to liquids. A coated sample is exposed to a named liquid for a set period, then examined for softening, blistering, loss of adhesion and colour change. Ask which liquids a coating was tested against and for how long, because resisting water is not the same as resisting brake fluid or petrol.

Is epoxy the best flooring for a garage?
For most garages, yes. Epoxy and flake coatings seal the concrete, resist oil and hot tyres, and clean easily, which suits how garages are used. For sunlit or semi-outdoor garages, polyurethane resists yellowing better. We recommend the right system for your garage during a free site visit.
Epoxy coating or garage floor paint, which is better?
A professional epoxy or resin coating is far more durable than DIY garage floor paint. Paint is cheaper upfront but wears and peels under hot tyres and traffic within a year or two. A proper coating, applied over a ground and primed slab, lasts years. We fit coatings, not paint.
Does garage flooring resist hot tyres and oil?
Yes, that is its main job. Quality epoxy and polyurethane coatings resist hot-tyre pickup, where cheap coatings soften and lift, and they shrug off oil, fuel and chemical spills that stain bare concrete. The key is a properly prepared slab and the right resin system, which we handle.
How much does garage flooring cost in Dubai?

How long does a garage floor coating take to install?
Most garages take one to three days depending on slab condition and the system. The floor is usually walk-ready within 24 hours and ready for vehicles in a few days once fully cured. We confirm the timeline and when you can park again during the site visit.
Can garage flooring be made anti-slip?
Oil, water and tyre dust can make a smooth garage floor slippery, so we add flake or anti-slip aggregate to give grip where needed. We match the level of grip to how the garage is used, from a light texture in a villa garage to a heavily textured workshop finish, and the level is set on the site visit.
Can you coat an old or oil-stained garage floor?
Usually yes. Old and oil-stained slabs are common, and the answer is thorough preparation: degreasing, diamond grinding and crack repair before any coating goes down. Deeply oil-soaked concrete may need extra treatment, which we assess on the site visit before quoting.
